Rougié Duck Foie Gras

This duck foie gras will add a refined French touch to any festive meal. Refrigerate before opening, foie gras should be served chilled but not ice cold. Cut out 1 cm (1/3 inch) slices with a knife blade warmed up with hot water. Display on plates, add ground pepper to taste and serve with French bread or brioche and late harvest wine. Remember not to spread foie gras, to fully enjoy the rich texture and taste. Ideal for a party of two or three. Made in Canada.

Rougié was founded as a gourmet shop in southwestern France in 1875. The expanding business later moved to Sarlat, the capital city of Périgord, France's top gastronomic region. Today Rougié has become a leading producer of foie gras and duck specialties with farms located both in France and Canada.

    I would not dream of planning a holiday season without foie gras for my half-French family. Rougié does a neat job. Delicious yet affordable.
