The irresistible Le Pompon bonbon (elected best chocolate specialty by l'Académie Nationale de Cuisine in 2014) is composed of a thin shell of dark chocolate filled with a fondant center of salted butter caramel. It's a nod to the bachi, or cap of the sailors in the Marine Nationale (French Navy). Legend has it that touching the pompon will bring luck. ;)
The Le Pompon bonbon was created by Breton chocolate master Pierre Le Petitcorps in 2004. The bonbons are made in Brittany.
