Why on earth don't they sell this in North America?

I discovered Liptonic years ago while traveling in France by train. It was the best possible drink in the summer - when you buy it, it's cold and fizzy and great. We were getting it in bottles (1 litre?), and as it got warm and flat while we rode the train it stayed great. Just a perfect drink.
At two and a half bucks for a little can, though, I'd have a hard time buying it here...

Even though it sounds a bit strange it is very tasty. Wish it was widely available in the States. Would sell very well in the South where they love their sweet tea.
