Rillettes are a distinctive French meat preparation, similar to pâté. These tasty rillettes prepared with duck meat, white wine and herbs are great for picnics and small plates. They should be served chilled but not ice cold, spread on bread or toast.

Today Rougié has become a leading producer of foie gras and duck specialties with farms located both in France and Canada.

This is pretty good but a little expensive for the quality. It's also misleading to label it "perigord" because it is a product of Canada. If it was less expensive, I would buy it again.

these rillettes are very good, not fat. you need baguette or french bread to go with it + red wine.
