Clément Faugier "crème de marrons" is a French classic made of chestnuts, confectionery syrup, sugar and vanilla. It's an irresistible dessert of its own, but it can as well be eaten on toasts, crêpes, or as a refined side to ice cream. It's also used as an ingredient in various pastry recipes. See our recipes.
Ingredients: chestnuts, sugar, glucose syrup, crushed candied marrons (marrons, sugar, glucose syrup, vanilla natural flavour), water, vanilla natural flavor.

I had a small can of this twice at restaurants and knew I'd want to have it available at home. Thanks to Simply Gourmand, it's possible to enjoy this delicious dessert in the USA!

Faugier creme de marrons is my favorite dessert. Add creme fraiche or fromage blanc or sour cream and it makes a delicious treat.
